An afternoon tea is fast becoming one of our most popular hen activities! This is because an afternoon tea is a perfect opportunity to give the bride-to-be a sophisticated afternoon that oozes class. What finer way to spend the afternoon than dressing up, being waited on and eating some luxurious and decadent sweet treats in quaint surroundings?
This is a great activity that keeps the afternoon civilised. You and the girls have a chance to interact with a cup of tea and fill your stomachs before hitting the tiles for a boozy night out. With a delectable range of sandwiches cakes and teas, you can talk, eat and look beautiful whilst providing the bride-to-be with an experience and memorable afternoon.

This will vary between different product offerings, but in general you may need a minimum of 6 people in your hen party. Some may allow just for 2 people, but if you want a full package or a hired out space then they often require a set price being paid, hence why a minimum people number if a necessity.
Well, it all depends which type of venue you're booking. Are you hoping to attend a central London hotel where a butler will be serving cream tea, or are you going to Revolutions for their burger and nibbles alternative afternoon tea, as the dress code will vary considerably. We do have many groups that prefer everyone to get dressed up all fancy for the day, so it could be worth planning this in advance and feeding it back to the team, but in general you don't have to worry about a dress code (providing you leave the fancy dress at home).
We list a number of different packages which often do include some form of alcohol, however it will often be a prosecco rather than a champagne (which is sweeter and tastier anyway). An increasing number of venues offer a broad range of drinks to please everyone, from cocktails to beers and spirits with mixers. If you're unsure, do ask one of our party planners, who are here to help.
Absolutely, many people believe it's a faux pas to order a coffee at these events, but far from it. These venues often make an amazing latte or a cappuccino, so order what you'd prefer, rather than what you think you're meant to order to fit in. However, the tea ranges are often quite wide, which can be fun to try something you've never had before, whether that's a Darjeeling or a Oolong.
Again, this depends on the venue, with some of the more formal venues you may only get a maximum of four seats per table, to ensure a proper equality of food offering for everyone. In contrast, in Revolutions you can get a booth which can fit a big group, or a big open table, however if the group is very big then a couple of tables can be arranged for this situation, which will be placed near each other so you're not spread out.
It depends what you have in mind, but if you let us know beforehand, we can speak directly to the venue and find out what is possible. From a birthday cake to a stripper, we have organised and handled certain special activities or features for our hen parties, so it's always worth asking. Some venues are alright with a male stripper coming along, others will be fainting with horror, so we'll find out for you.
Well, there isn't actually a set answer, or more importantly, there is isn't a wrong way of doing it. The creation of the cream tea is a battled point between the Cornish and Devonshire residents, while they contrast in their beliefs on the ordering of cream vs jam. In Devon, they spread the cream on first, while in Cornwall they place the jam on first, but really it doesn't matter. If you asked the team here, the majority put cream on first, as it feels like a substite for butter when you think of butter and jam on toast, it would be odd for jam to be underneath.
