It only takes one hour and 25 minutes to fly from London to Dublin and the flights are extremely cheap if you catch Ryanair at the right time. Getting from the airport into the city couldn’t be easier, the Dublin Express is a coach service that leaves from Zone 1 at terminal 1 and Zone 21 from terminal 2. This regular service costs 11 Euro, meaning it is cost effective too. Once you arrive at your destination, you’ll find the light-rail tram service is invaluable for getting around. Operated by Luas, there are two lines, blue and green running from the city centre to outlying areas. Overall, Dublin is a very walkable city, although comfy shoes are a must if you’re walking around all day.
Once you arrive in Dublin there are electric bikes available for hire, which are a fun and environmentally friendly way to tour the city. Going at speeds of up to 25 km you can cruise with ease and see the sights. There are 114 EsB ebikes to hire, across 14 charging stations that cost 24.99 Euro per day.
Planning to go out in Dublin and you will immediately think of Temple Bar, for those of you who don’t know this is the main tourist area of Dublin and is packed with traditional Irish bars and places to eat. However, you can expect to pay a lot more for a pint here than anywhere else.
The Elephant and Castle situated in the Temple Bar area is renowned for their chicken wings and there’s also the actual Temple Bar Pub which is definitely worth a visit for the gram if nothing else. Outside of this area, there are many more traditional pubs with live music.
For clubbing try Copper Face Jacks, where cheesy tunes are played all night long into the wee small hours. There are multiple floors and even a hotel attached to this venue. The Workman’s Club is said to feel more like a house party than a nightclub with its vintage wallpaper.
There’s a large bar and stage where regular live music occurs and DJs perform, you will also find some alternative rock nights. Pygmalion boasts one of the best beer gardens in the city, this place is always packed to the rafters with the cool kids frequenting.
Xico is a Mexican themed club where the margaritas are spot on. There’s regular live music, including a band that blends saxophone, drums and live scratching. The underground club spans three floors and plays feel-good tunes all night. One of the best places to let loose in the city! The George is Dublin’s most iconic LGBTQ venue playing regular host to drag nights and karaoke, although check with the door staff and some queer venues prefer not to have large groups.
Excuse us, but does a bear do its business in the woods? Yes, of course! Dublin is one of the most vibrant and exciting party cities in the world and you and the girls are guaranteed to have an amazing time here. There’s so much to do day and night that you may need a holiday to recover after your visit!
Here at Hen Party Deals we offer you so many top notch activities with everything from cocktail making classes, Irish music and dinner, Irish dance classes, Silent disco tours and much more! Check out our list and find the best deals around.
In the Temple Bar area the prices are pretty steep, but it is worth a visit. If you’re on a budget, don’t stay all night! The rest of Dublin is similar to London prices.
Dublin is one of the hen and stag capitals of the world and all (well behaved) groups are welcome. However, make sure you read the vibe of the venue and be respectful to the local people and you’ll be grand!
We know you are going to want to sample the Guinness and the prices vary depending on where you are. In Temple Bar expect to pay £9 (at least) and elsewhere approximately £7.
