Getting around
Making your way around Albufeira is a total breeze - you'll just need to remember that the resort is split into two; The Old Town and the vibrant Albufeira Strip. The strip is where the bulk of the action takes place, so you can expect to spend most of your time here.
If it's a relaxed one on the beach that you and the girls are after, then you'll be able to make your way around by foot. As for activities, we'll be able to help out with transfers, as we offer them for most of our hen activities and destinations, making things super convenient. If you want to go exploring or take in the sights, there’s several options to get you and the girls to your destination. Albufeira and its neighbouring cities have a great transport system in place, offering bus, train and taxi services. There’s plenty of bus stops and taxi ranks dotted around the resort, so you’ll never be too far from one. If you’re using the buses, we’d recommend checking out timetables in advance and seeing what time they run until.
We’d say the easiest way to get around is by taxi; you’ll have a more personalised service and will get to your destination much quicker than hopping on public transport. Plus, if you split the fare between a few of you, it won’t cost much at all. Just make sure you confirm the fare with the driver before you jump in.
Tips and ideas
If you and your girl gang are looking for something with a little more character, or just a little off the beaten path, beaches such as Praia da Coelha, Praia do Castelo and Praia do Evaristo don’t get quite as busy as the more popular beaches, and they’re a great way to see all of Albufeira’s expansive coastline - all while topping up your tan! As for activities, we've got a great selection available; from boat parties and quad bikes to parasailing experiences, there's a brilliant variety that you and the rest of the hens will love!
Albufeira boasts a fantastic and laid back beach atmosphere, so pack a few of your favourite bikinis or swimwear, but remember it's a rather casual affair dresswise, so no need to go overboard on the packing front for your lazy beach days. As for the evening, those long hot summer nights are perfect for showing off your tanned pins in a gorgeous dress!
There are loads of great places to eat out in Albufeira, but do remember that it's customary to tip an additional 10% if you've received good service - tips aren’t usually added onto the bill which only includes the items consumed. Like with other countries, the Portuguese are big on politeness, so snapping fingers at waiters and waitresses is a big no no. A simple 'Please' (por favor or se faz favor) or 'Thank You' (obrigado/obrigada) will go a long way!

Albufeira’s legendary nightlife is definitely a big selling point and one that draws in the crowds from across Europe. You certainly won’t be disappointed with the endless choice of pubs, bars and clubs here, but we imagine that you and the rest of the girls will spend the bulk of your time on the famous Albufeira Strip (Avenida Sà Carneiro). This runs through both Montechoro and Areias de São João and is where the electric party scene is at. If you fancy catching a bite to eat beforehand, then you’ll find loads of great spots here, with everything from pub grub, Indian, Chinese and Italian - basically anything you can think of!
As for the pubs and the bars, you’ll be absolutely spoiled for choice! Head to the Southern part of the strip, where you’ll find cheap drinks aplenty! Bars will also have loads of drink deals and promotions on, geared towards hen and stag groups. Expect novelty, oversized cocktails and vibrant dance floors where you can bust some moves!
On the other hand, the Northern part of the strip is somewhat quieter and is the place to go to check out designer clothing boutiques, wine shops and sunglasses stores. Definitely somewhere to visit by day rather than night though!
