Bristol Hen Do Accommodation
So, you and the girls have landed in Bristol, but where are you staying? If you are unfamiliar with the city, finding somewhere that is both good value and centrally located can be tricky. Think of us as your one stop shop for booking the hen weekend of your dreams, then all you need to worry about is travelling to the destination. We even have a transport service to take you safely from door to door!
City Centre & Old City
The Old City area is basically Corn Street, St Nicholas Market and all around the historic centre. This area is hugely popular for hen parties as you'll find plenty of restaurants and bars here, so staying nearby makes your journey very short. You don't have a long walk either to the Harbourside, or to Park Street.
Harbourside
The former docks have completely been transformed and are now packed full of bars, hotels and restaurants, while being by the water is always a bit nicer. You can expect to spot a few other hen groups in this area, especially during the summer months on the weekend. You can expect a good few restaurants around Wapping Wharf. This is a central area that is a bit more scenic than Old City.
Park Street, West End & The Triangle
This is your bridge from the centre over to Clifton, with the Triangle at the top. If you have activities you want to try around Clifton Village then this might be a nice option for you. You also have some pretty wild nightlife options on Park Street.
Clifton
If you're looking for a bit of a classy hen party then Clifton is the one for you. You're away from the madness of the city centre and all the chain restaurants and potentially staying in a Georgian building with a bath-stone terrace. There are a number of really nice cafes here, while you are a 15-20 minute walk uphill from the citycentre, but you can take a bus or book taxis as a group.
Bristol Transport
Bristol boasts two main railway stations both with excellent links from all parts of the UK. Bristol Temple Meads is the busier of the two with 13 platforms and links travel options while Bristol Parkway is the quieter of the two that serves south wales and surrounding villages.
Other than the main train into the city (if you live elsewhere), most hen groups will stay relatively central and therefore won't need to worry about a train or a bus, depending on what you have booked.
Having said that, Bristol has a significant number of hills, making certain routes quite tricky, let alone once heels have been introduced to the equation. Park Street in particular can be quite intense if walking towards Clifton, ignore Google Maps when it says a 15 minute walk as it won't mention how steep it is.
For far flung hen party attendees there is also an option to fly in as Bristol Airport is only 17 miles away from the city centre. You can take the A1 Airport Flyer once you land, taking you towards the city via Bristol Temple Meads and Bristol Bus Station and operating 24 hours per day. Therefore, if people are flying in, accommodation near either of those stops could be an ideal option. Of course, with a big group of people and plenty of suitcases, you may actually prefer a private transfer which we can help arrange, or booking a taxi.
If you are driving, there are thousands of parking spaces available including long stay and these can be booked in advance through the JustPark App which saves the hassle of driving around aimlessly looking for a space!
Parking in Bristol
Some of our accommodation may have its own parking facilities, please check the details when booking. It is worth mentioning that the city gets busy during peak months and you won’t need your car for the duration of your stay, so try and use public transport if you can, and besides which, who doesn’t love a couple of cheeky M&S cocktails on route? By leaving the car at home you won't need to worry about being over the limit and can just let your hair down and sleep on the way home instead of concentrating on the road ahead!
You should be aware that some hotels in Bristol actually charge for parking, so it's worth investigating if there is a fee and you do have to reserve a spot most times in advance as it's very much first-book-first-served, while others have off-street parking purely based on who arrives there first.
Outside of this, you do have the Trenchard Street long stay card park, with 936 car spaces and open 24 hours a day. They do have some EV charging bays but not many and they do go quickly. This isn't a cheap option though, so it really is worth considering how much you need your car with you.
There is also West End long stay car park, ideal if you're staying in or near Clifton. This one has 750 car spaces, while the charge matches Trenchard Street long stay. You will also find some other car parks such as on Temple Gate, Queen Square, Wapping Wharf and College Street.
It's also worth reading up on the Clean Air Zone in Bristol, if you have an older car which most likely won't be compliant, as you'd be facing a daily charge. You can check your vehicle here.

Hotels
The city centre has a huge amount of options, therefore you won't have any issues finding a central spot near to all the restaurants and bars. Having that breakfast made in the morning is an essential for many and is worth double checking this is included in your booking. We also do our best to list key facilities, whether that's a hair dryer provided or whether the reception is open 24 hours a day.
Hen Houses
There are some hen houses and apartments available in Bristol, but they do tend to cost quite a lot more and often require upfront payment rather than a small deposit or delayed payment, which is a common issue for most groups who maybe aren't yet ready to all commit to paying. On the other hand, this is a nice way to all spend quality time together, whether that's getting ready for the night our or eating breakfast in the morning together in the living room. Many of the houses are quite big, but expect many to have bunk beds to fit in big groups, as your options are quite limited once you get to 10+ people.
Hostels
This is a much more affordable option to a hotel the majority of the time, with group dorms available, plus you'll most likely want private dorms which we're always keen on booking for our groups. Many of the hostels are once again in the city centre, meaning you don't have to worry about a long distance to a restaurant or a nightclub.
