Is the bride-to-be crazy for all things Disney? Then throwing her a Disney themed hen party could be just the ticket! But where to start? There are many ways to incorporate some Disney magic into any hen do, read on to find out how you can throw the bride-to-be the hen party of her dreams! 

Disneyland Paris

The most obvious option, plan a trip to Disneyland Paris! It’s a lot closer and more affordable than its American counterpart and depending on what time of the year you decide to go, there are some affordable passes available from one to three days! This could be the surprise of a lifetime… 

Disney Fancy Dress Theme 

If Disneyland Paris or indeed Disneyland in the USA are out of the question, you could consider having a  Disney theme for your hen do. A brilliant example of this would be Disney Princesses versus Disney Villains. Snow White or Evil Queen? Rapunzel or Gothel? Aurora or Maleficent? Ariel or Ursula? A fun and fair way to assign a character to each person would be to draw names from a hat! Imagine the laughs you would have bar hopping? 

Disney Themed Bottomless Brunch 

Most big cities in the UK have providers who host Disney Themed bottomless brunches, from Manchester to Liverpool.

Dressing up is encouraged and you can expect to hear all of your favourite fairytale anthems mixed by a DJ and in some cases there will also be Disney performances coupled with bottomless drinks and delicious brunch food items.   

These boozy brunches are sometimes accompanied with a bit of ad-hoc karaoke, as people in the audience will often sing along to their favourite childhood movie soundtracks. This immersive aspect is what gets everyone really in the mood and brings everyone closer together.

The main aspect to consider is the timing, as a bottomless brunch tends to fall between lunch and dinner (despite being named a brunch), therefore you will want to work out your other meal times and activities accordingly, while you also don't want to do too much after a boozy brunch as it does leave everyone a bit blurry eyed.

Disney Themed Party 

If you have hired a venue or are throwing your hen party at home then Disney themed decorations are just the thing to make your party go with a bang! There are various options available to suit all budgets: 

Hire an Events Company - If budget isn’t a concern, you can hire event companies to take care of everything for you. This stress free option means all of the decorations, food and music will be whipped together just like magic. 

Hire a Disney Host - You can hire a Disney host to greet and mingle with guests and perform at your party, this would certainly add some authenticity and fun to proceedings! 

DIY - If you need to keep costs down you can purchase Disney themed decorations online. There’s everything you need to inject some Disney magic, featuring all of the many franchises. Expect to find - Table decorations, balloons, paper plates and cups, Disney table confetti, Mickey Mouse ears headbands

Disney Themed Hen Activities and Games 

Aside from the logistics to outfits and party decorations, there are tons of Disney themed activities and games you can incorporate on your hen party… 

Disney Karaoke - Hire your own karaoke booth or bar that can supply this and have a Disney sing off! The song choices are endless, so expect hours of entertainment. We love blind karaoke where the host chooses the song so it’s completely out of your hands! Expect much hilarity as the girls attempt to hit the high notes (Frozen anyone?) 

Disney Quiz - It’s a pub quiz but not as you know it. Each question is Disney related and perfect for some head scratching fun! Split into teams to see who will be crowned champions. As well as trivia questions, you could also incorporate a music round where you play one second of each song to find out who the real fans are! 

Disney Cocktail Making - Hire an expert mixologist to come to your home or visit a local bar. There are so many Disney themed cocktails to shake and taste, Poisoned Apple anyone? 

We offer a number of cocktail making classes that you might want to book for your hen weekend, while some take place in private rooms, so you could always request some Disney music to be played, or if not, get the phone out and blast some tunes!

Disney Forehead Detective - All you need for this game is a block of post it notes and a pen. Split into pairs and each write the name of a Disney character onto a post it (no looking!) and then stick it to the other person’s forehead. As a group you are only allowed to ask yes or no questions to uncover who your character is.

Cards Against Disney - Modelled on the eyebrow raising ‘Cards Against Humanity’ this game is strictly for over 18s only! Expect lots of naughty innuendos that would make Mickey Mouse blush and shatter the innocence of Disney!
