The big day has finally arrived! You and the girl are beside yourselves with excitement at the prospect of travelling together to the hen weekend of your dreams. Whether you’re flying off someone sunny, or keeping it firmly in the UK, you will need to pack accordingly and here at Hen Party Deals we have compiled a little checklist to assist you. There’s nothing worse than being underprepared, especially if you’ve never actually taken part in a hen weekend before, as the old saying goes, ‘fail to prepare, prepare to fail’. Read on to hear our handy tips and tricks from the experts…
Obviously your hen destination is the first thing you must take into account when packing. Is it going to be blazing sunshine or possibly a little bit chilly? The climate will help you decide on what kind of outfits you need and whether you will need your big coat! If you’re planning a hen do in Newcastle, you need to know the locals never wear big coats on a night out as they are immune to the cold after a few bevs. Make sure you pack sunscreen regardless as those rays can hit hard even in the UK and sunburn is not an attractive (or comfortable) accessory on a night out.
By now you should have been given an itinerary of the planned hen activities and have a good idea of what you will be taking part in. Some activities such as Indoor Go Karting, will provide safety equipment for you such as helmets and the like, but if you are taking part in a dance class, remember to pack comfortable leggings or shorts and t-shirts. A swimming costume is always welcome even in colder climbs as some hotels have their own swimming pools or you may even decide to have an impromptu spa day, even if you haven’t actually booked one, (which you can incidentally through us).
Have you decided on a theme? There’s so many to choose, from Barbie girls to Cowgirls, those matching outfits scream hen party and are guaranteed to get you and the girls attention galore and possibly a few free cheeky shots along the way! Imagine turning up and everyone else has their outfit and you have forgotten yours! Disaster right? This is top of the checklist in our opinion, get those costumes sorted and packed asap!
Remember that awful cabin bag allowance! It’s 23 kg per bag and we know that’s a squeeze for most. You can always wear all of your clothes layered underneath one another to save on the costs, we are joking (or are we). Seriously though, there are some amazing bags out there to squeeze in all your personal items and you can even buy vacuum pack sleeves to maximise your space which we love.
