You’re off for a wild weekend, ready for cocktails and bliss with the babes, plus you know everyone will be trigger happy with the selfies.
But what should you be hashtagging? Well let’s dive into some of the most common.

We strongly recommend making some for your group and letting everyone know beforehand. The key to this is that, for people who don’t have everyone followed on their Instagram, they can still easily find all the pictures. For the benefit of this example, we shall call the brides group Mitchell.

Some also like to add in the destination with the year, e.g. #MitchellHenDoNewcastle2024.
Depending on your creativity, you can sneak in some fun puns or childhood nicknames, as long as the bride to be appreciates the names, no being nasty here, she wants to look back and love this.
If you’re really talented, you could make the hashtag rhyme, so test out a few names before jumping right in.
We’ve provided you with a few hashtags that are very common, as well as some personalised ones, but you may want to adjust based on the theme you’ve gone with.
For example, are you heading for a beachy hen do, involving all the girls having cocktails in the sun and a nice cruise during the day. Or maybe you’re trying a relaxing spa day as your focus, or maybe a wild party booze cruise.
Whatever your core focus is, try to personalise the hashtags around these. If you opt for fancy dress, this can also play in. You may want everyone dressed as pirates, Barbie or around the Great Gasby, this should definitely be built in to your focus.
Whether on WhatsApp or on Doodle, you could put it to a poll between everyone attending on what they feel is the best hashtag. By getting the whole group involved, someone might come up with a genius idea, so this helps if you’re struggling to land on one idea.
