And that’s exactly what wakeboarding is. Much like water-skiing you’re strapped to the back of a boat, but a wakeboard keeps your feet together, like on a surfboard. The effect of this? Well apart from giving you that little bit more control as you crest the waves, you’ll also avoid the embarrassing and painful accidental splits that a water ski sometimes causes.
But beyond that it’s all about the adrenaline rush of conquering nature, of learning a new skill and relishing in this shared experience with your nearest and dearest.
