Hen Do Party Bags

Hen Do Party Bags

Party bags are not just reserved for children or influencers and A list celebs, you can also provide them for your hen party! Giving a hen party gift bag is a personal touch that makes your forthcoming nuptials celebration memorable and special. They also help to set the tone and give each attendee an idea of what’s to come.

Don’t forget the most important person is the bride-to-be and she should also receive her own special hen party bag!

When do you give a hen party bag?

It is usually the Maid-of-Honour’s task to organise hen party bags prior to the night or hen weekend. You can be as imaginative as you like and there are no rules in regards to what they should contain.

The actual bags can be purchased in bulk online and you can be a boujee as you wish. Why not have the date and Bride's name emblazoned on the side? Or you can have the name of each attendee and their role in the wedding. There’s every colour you can think of and some are completely transparent. Just ensure the bags are big enough to hold the contents! It’s a good idea to plan first so you know the volume of items.

What do you put in a hen party bag?

As we previously mentioned, there are no hard and fast rules to what each bag should contain. The idea is to combine useful and fun to make everyone smile and get them excited before the event!

T-shirts and accessories - If you have printed special t-shirts to be worn on the day, you can add those and any accessories such as wigs, feather boas, sashes or hats. These are common on a hen do in Newcastle, but not every bar and restaurant is ok with hen t-shirts, so just be a little wary of this.

Itinerary of the day/s - You can create your own scrolls with a list of events planned with timings and any other useful information. Obviously this can be done online, but think of them as keepsakes for each hen and a reminder of the celebration.

Disposable camera - Ask each hen to take photos using a disposable camera. The results are always hilarious as no one is able to check the images (or delete) or add a filter! A truly wholesome reminder of the days before camera phones were invented and great to collate in an album for the Bride afterwards. You can allocate days for each hen to bring their camera so you get a good variety of shots and memories, the film can run out pretty quickly, especially if you’re trigger happy after a few cheeky vinos on a Benidorm hen do

Hangover kits - It goes without saying that booze is part of most hen celebrations and there’s nothing worse than being hungover with no access to recovery essentials! You can include Berocca, paracetamol, an eye mask, bottle of water and some recovery salts. This is sure to make your guests smile.

Hen Party Review Cards - A tongue in cheek way to leave a little message for the bride so she remembers the event forever. You can include advice to her, what you love and wish for her and your favourite hen party moments. Guaranteed to cause a few happy tears at a later date! You can check online as some companies offer the card ready printed, or if you are creative why not make your own? Think of the cards as a pre-wedding guest book that is exclusive to the bride and her hen party.

Party Poppers - Use the bag for personal party poppers, glitter cannons, novelty straws and the like which can easily be transferred into your handbag and carried around for appropriate occasions. A great way to remind everyone of the fun you are about to have and a lovely surprise for the bride-to-be during the events.

Cocktail Can or Mini Prosecco - There’s no time like the present when it comes to getting those celebrations started! Hen Party Deals are rather partial to an M&S Cocktail can, they are perfect for sipping on the train journey on your way to the hen party weekend.

A Snack - Let’s face it, who wants to eat a huge breakfast prior to a hen do? The excitement and last minute packing means you often forget or just aren't hungry. Pack your hens some breakfast bars, dried fruit or crisps, we promise it will be appreciated at some stage during the morning!

Special Treat - If you have the budget, we recommend getting a personal present for each group member. Something they will really appreciate which you know they love! Perfume, face masks, a fluffy pair of socks, chocolate, silly sunglasses, the list goes on. It is worth finding out from each hen’s closest friends what they would prefer if you don’t know them - this is the ultimate way to make each person feel included.

The Bride-to-be’s Hen Party Bag

We have saved the best until last. Giving the bride-to-be her own hen party bag is an amazing way of announcing to her what will happen over the weekend. Assuming you’ve kept all plans a secret, this is the perfect way to get her excited while simultaneously having her in (good) floods of tears! The itinerary being the most vital component with the destination and planned activities listed.

We recommend adding most of the items listed above, but please ensure her gift is super special. Her favourite perfume and an item of jewellery are winners in our opinion. Just remember the main thing is that you are all there for her and will ensure she gets a memorable send off no matter what the budget is.
