Each package comes with a £100 Bar Tab for every 6 or 8 people, depending on the location you're booking. Once you've been to the bar, head to the Oche, or the games tables to start battling it out against your fellow hens with two epic bar games also included.
Boom Battle Bar is a perfect example of the fun twist on traditional bars we're seeing open up across the UK, with fun games to play while having a drink in hand (except with the axe throwing, you may have to put the drink down at that point). These are ideal if you want to start the drinks but also want to do a fun activity and want people to mingle rather than sat down awkwardly, as this is a great way to mix people up, ideal if they haven't met before.
Boom Battle Bar both has traditional activities with a modern twist, as well as some more unique options.
One of the most popular games at Boom Battle Bar is axe throwing, a thrilling activity that’s grown massively over the past decade. Test your aim and see who’s the true Viking of the group, perfect for a hen party in Cardiff where you’ll crown your axe-throwing champion.
The axe throwing bookings are normally split between 30, 60 or 90 minutes, allowing you to pick the length that you feel would work best. Considering the size of the group, you may want a fair amount of time, the majority of our bookings are for 1 hour. The lanes can have up to 10 players, so if you have a big group then you will want to split this over two lanes (or even 3 depending on how big your group is), but our party planners can help with this.
Another favourite is shuffleboard, a game that may be new to some but quickly becomes addictive! Slide weighted discs along the board, aiming to land them in the scoring zone. You can split into teams or go head-to-head (though teams can be easier with larger groups). If you're heading to Edinburgh, shuffleboard is a must, book a bar tab too, so you can keep the drinks flowing as you play.
Again, you generally get two tables, so if you had a big group, then you could be split over multiple tables, especially as you can't have too many players at once. The instructor will direct you on how to play before you dive in, as we understand this isn't a game everyone plays on the weekend. There is hardly a Shuffleboard World Cup...We don't think.
Then there’s augmented reality darts. You’ll be throwing darts as usual, but with multiple game modes thanks to the high-tech virtual targets, giving you different challenges to choose from. This one’s a huge hit for hen parties in Manchester, where you can test your aim in a whole new way!
For those who love a classic, the traditional pool tables are a solid choice, offering that traditional pub feel. while it's ideal if someone in the group fancies themselves a pool shark (there is always one). Perfect for a hen do in Leeds, pool keeps things casual but competitive, and it’s always a crowd-pleaser. Or, if you’re after something a little more quirky, try the crazier-than-crazy golf! This fun indoor course has nine creative holes and takes about 45 minutes to complete, adding a nostalgic twist to the day.
Finally, we have beer pong, the ultimate party game! With two tables set up, you won’t be waiting long for your turn, and the drinks will be ready and waiting, all poured by the team. These digital beer pong tables even add a futuristic twist to this classic student game, giving a sneak peek into party games of the future.
Whatever you choose, Boom Battle Bar has everything you need for a hen party packed with laughs, competition, and unforgettable moments!
